The public Angel Fire Resort Golf and Country Club is recognized as one of the Southwest’s best par-72, 18-hole public golf courses. The challenging PGA-rated course boasts 6,600 yards of high-altitude playing at 8,600’ elevation featuring average summer temperatures of 78 degrees, abundant wildlife and beautiful mountain vistas.

The front nine incorporates a longer-playing layout that meanders through two unspoiled canyons of aspen, spruce, and pine, while the back nine offers links-style play with smaller greens and plenty of bunkers. The signature hole, #6, places the golfer on the tee box 200 vertical feet above the green, 239 yards away, surrounded by groves of aspen trees and towering pine.

Resort Course, Public Invited—18 Holes. Open May 21 through mid-October, weather permitting. Tee times are required and taken up to seven (7) days in advance.

Facility / Services: Putting Green, Pitching Green, Practice Range, Golf Shop, Carts, Locker Rooms, Club Rental, Instruction, Snack Bar, Tournament Services, and Hotel/Golf packages.

Fees: $65 AM, $45 twilight during spring & fall. $85 AM, $53 twilight during summer. Rates include cart but exclude tax. Resort guests receive advance tee times and discounted golf rates.

Getting There: Angel Fire Country Club is a mountain paradise. Beautiful scenic views with a great golf challenge 22 miles east of Taos. From Taos take Highway 64 east to Highway 434; go south approximately 5 miles; the course is on the right.
