Paa-Ko Ridge Golf Club
Albuquerque, New Mexico
For golfers at Paa-Ko Ridge, excitement is waiting at every hole! Borrowing its name from the nearby Anasazi Pueblo Indian ruins, this mountain course— sitting at 6,800 feet elevation on the eastern slope of the Sandia Mountains—is truly a golf experience you won’t forget.
It was indeed a memorable experience for representatives from Golf Digest, who named Paa-Ko Ridge the Best New Affordable Public Course of 2000 (new course with green fees of $50 or less). Paa-Ko Ridge was also distinguished with the 20th spot on Golf Digest’s America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses, published May, and has been ranked by Golfweek at #27 in their 2005, Top 100 Modern Courses in America and #43 by Golf Magazine’s, Top 100 You Can Play, in 2004-2005.
Created by famed course architect Ken Dye of Finger Dye Spann (honored by Golf Magazine as one of the 25 hottest architects), the layout at Paa-Ko works to incorporate the natural beauty and rugged terrain of the mountainous landscape, creating a strategic round that challenges golfers of all skill levels. To further enhance the attraction of Paa-Ko Ridge, a spectacular new 9 holes is now open.
